Foundations

Overview

The stable principles that make the rest of O2A readable.

Foundation statements

Foundations are the stable, public principles you read first — before any individual entity. They explain what an O2A statement is, how a composable organization is assembled from related objects, why governed configuration comes before live operation, and how financial truth and evidence stay anchored to their source facts. Nothing here describes a particular implementation; this is the shared semantic ground every later page builds on.

How It Works

Foundations move from the most general idea to the most concrete. The Standard page fixes how to read O2A at all. Composition shows how Nodes, Offerings, Contracts, Wallets, and evidence-bearing objects fit together. Configuration explains why setup is governed and ordered before operation. Business Behavior, Financial Truth, and Evidence then anchor commercial behavior, money, and explainability to their source facts. Open Scope keeps deferred and unsettled scope visible without letting it crowd the current surface.

Why It Matters

Every entity and contract page later in the standard assumes these principles already hold. If you know what a statement is, how the major objects compose, and where financial and evidentiary truth lives, the rest of O2A reads as one coherent language rather than a pile of definitions. Skip Foundations and the entity pages look like disconnected rules; read them and the connections fall into place.
