Short meanings for the core O2A vocabulary.

This glossary gives short, plain-language meanings for the core O2A vocabulary. Use it as a quick reference; each term links to the concept page where its full definition lives.

Core Terms

  • O2A means Open Organization Alliance.
  • Organization means a configurable network of Nodes, Offerings, agreements, value flows, evidence, and governance. See Organization.
  • Node means an organizational unit. See Node.
  • Container Node means a parent business-unit Node that contains child Nodes and owns no Offerings. See Container Node.
  • Offering means a cataloged capability made available by a Node. See Offering.
  • Offering Nature means the configured category that selects an Offering's business-equation archetype.
  • Business-equation archetype means the economic behavior model selected by an Offering Nature.
  • Bundle means a configured combination of offerings or capabilities. See Bundle.
  • Contract means a governed commitment among party Nodes. See Contract.
  • Milestone means a reviewable checkpoint inside a Contract. See Milestone.
  • Wallet means a value-movement scope. See Wallet.
  • Cap Table means node ownership allocation. See Cap Table.
  • Ledger Event means an append-only financial fact. See Ledger Event.
  • Oracle means an evidence or trigger boundary. See Oracle.
  • Configuration Artifact means a governed setup concern. See Configuration Artifact.

Configuration Identifiers

  • CA-CUSNED means Customers & Needs.
  • CA-UNITYP means Unit Types & Hierarchy.
  • CA-OFFNAT means Offering Natures.
  • CA-BUSEQU means Business Equations.
  • CA-UNILIF means Unit Lifecycle.
  • CA-PLMGMT means P&L Management.
  • CA-SHRSVC means Shared Services.
  • CA-GTMACC means Go-To-Market Access.
  • Draft means authored configuration before validation.
  • Validated means configuration approved for dependent unlocks.
  • Iterated means validated configuration revised through governance.

Contract Terms

  • Purchase means the contract type for buying one Offering.
  • Revenue Split means the contract type for routing revenue.
  • Investment means the contract type for investment or ownership economics.
  • Bundle linked means the relation created when a Bundle is formed.
  • Contract split revenue means revenue routed through a Contract.
  • Terms means contract-specific commercial parameters.
  • Party means a Node participating in a Contract.
  • Replicable Contract Format means reusable agreement-shape prefill for a Draft Contract. See Replicable Contract Format.

Financial Terms

  • Fixed cost means cost classified against a Node rather than a specific Offering.
  • Offering cost of goods means cost classified against a specific Offering.
  • Shared cost of goods means cost classified into a Node-level general cost pool for later allocation.
  • Expected cost of goods means expected cost derived from unit cost and units sold.
  • Realized cost of goods means actual cost derived from Ledger Events.
  • P&L view means a derived period-scoped financial view.
  • Wallet balance means a value derived from Ledger Events.
  • Basis point means one ten-thousandth of a total allocation.

Lifecycle Terms

  • Contract Draft means a contract in authoring state.
  • Contract Signed means a formed commitment.
  • Contract Active means an operating commitment.
  • Contract Terminated means an ended commitment.
  • Milestone Pending means a checkpoint awaiting review.
  • Milestone Reached means an accepted checkpoint.
